USPA Skydiving B License Practice Test 2026 – The All-in-One Guide to Soar Through Your Certification!

Jump gear should be cleaned and inspected before every jump to ensure safety and functionality. Skydiving equipment, including the harness, container, and parachute, can suffer wear and tear from the conditions in which they are used. Regular inspections help identify any potential issues, such as fraying lines or wear on the harness, which could compromise safety during a jump.

Cleaning the gear before each use also removes dirt, sweat, and other contaminants that can affect the integrity of the equipment over time. Consistent attention to gear maintenance not only enhances the performance of the equipment but also ensures a safe jumping experience. This practice is essential for the safety of both the jumper and those around them.

While some options suggest less frequent cleaning or inspection schedules, these do not account for the ongoing wear that can occur between jumps or the potential for hidden damage that could go unnoticed without regular checks.
